How to Support the Global Climate Strike – if you can’t STRIKE.

READYFUNDGO SUPPORTS THE GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE

Calling all individuals and companies to join us

Do you have any plans yet for the Global Climate Strike on Friday?

On 20 September 2019, millions of people around the world will walk out of their workplaces and homes to join young climate strikers on the streets, demanding action on climate change now – inspired by Swedish schoolgirl and climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Future Super have launched  Not Business as Usual and now over 1,000 companies have signed up.

ReadyFundGo,  have just launched a campaign to plant a minimum of 1,000 trees.

“We know that, for whatever reason, not everyone will be able to join the strike but they can show their support by planting a tree. By planting a tree, individuals are taking positive action to help reduce carbon in the atmosphere, and also show their support for the next generation and their demands for swift action on climate change.” Jill Storey, CEO ReadyFundGo

Businesses that plant 10 trees will be issued  with certificate and have their logo added to our crowdfuding campaign page. The target is for companies  to plant one tree for every employee even if they permit their employees to strike.

As many of you will know, according to the United Nations, we only have 11 years to limit the climate change catastrophe.

Without rapid cuts in CO2 and other greenhouse gases, climate change will have increasingly destructive and irreversible impacts on life on Earth. (Source: https://www.un.org/press/en/2019/ga12131.doc.htm)

With a 1.5  degree global warming scenario we lose 70-90% of the planet’s coral reefs. At 2 degrees we lose over 99% (Source:Global Warming of 1.5°C, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change https://www.ipcc.ch/sr15/).

ReadyFundGo has partnered with Carbon Neutral, Australia’s major carbon offset developer who have planted 29.5 million trees to date. The trees will be planted in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor, Western Australia.

Show solidarity by jumping on the campaign page and planting a tree for $5 – the price of a coffee.

ReadyFundGo stands together with individuals and businesses across the world calling on leaders to act now on climate change as part of the Global #ClimateStrike – 20-27 September 2019.
