Here’s 5 Key Tips for a Strong Crowdfunding Video Script
Read your script over and check the following:
1 – Does it sound like waffle? Your dialogue needs to be short, clear and interesting. Look out for too much information; give your audience time to digest each point with an image or graph, even if it’s simply a pregnant pause. Get their attention!
2 – What’s in it for the viewer? What can you offer them? What are the rewards for getting involved? They could be the first to get the product weeks before launch, naming rights, a percentage of profit or some kind of membership.
3 – What’s in your video to make people care about you and/or your project? What makes them need to get involved? Can the viewer see that you really need their hard earned money?
4 – Humour is always a winner – if your product is boring like a toilet roll you can still make a great video. Look at this beauty.
5 – Remember, ask your viewers to help out. Even if it’s not cash this time, they can help by sharing your video with friends on Facebook, Twitter and other social media. If possible include instructions on how to share or better how to inject funds.
